The THR1VE Center offers a number of unique staff-led support and community groups for students. See the information below for descriptions. 

Lavender Reception

The color lavender plays a historic role in LGBTQ+ history and within the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a combination of the colors pink and black, which were once used to identify and discriminate against gays and lesbians. Over the past 50 years, the LGBTQ+ community has reclaimed lavender as a symbol of pride and revolution in the community. In Spring 2022, Xavier University joined a number of our Jesuit peers including Georgetown, Holy Cross, Seattle University, and Boston College as we celebrated the accomplishments of our LGBTQ+ community at our inaugural Lavender Reception.

Hope Ignited Ceremony

The Hope Ignited Stoling Ceremony at Xavier University is an annual commencement week event hosted by THR1VE Center that honors graduating students, celebrating their growth, heritage, and community service.  

Hope Haven

Hope Haven is a safe, welcoming, and affirming space dedicated to empowering students to live their best life.
Through insightful group coaching, authentic discussions, and engaging activities Hope Haven seeks to foster personal development, positive transformation, and the pursuit of purpose. 

Each session is a journey of self-discovery and mindfulness aimed at inspiring its participants to thrive in every area and in every circumstance they face.
